Drivers and Race Rules

1. Starting positions will be determined by qualifying times.

2. Drivers will be given ample time to run practice laps prior to racing.
It may become necessary to limit the practice time of each driver
should there be a large number of drivers.

3. No one will be permitted "free track power for just a second" to
test their car. (Test strips, or nine volt batteries are often available.)

4. Each driver will race all lanes in a rotating order, laps will be
recorded and completed sections will be added at the end of the
each race.

5. All drivers will be expected to take their turn marshalling
the track while not racing.

6. Drivers are not permitted to marshal any cars during the races.
Any violations will result in penalties. (Sample of penalty can be
points deduction)

7. Between heats drivers will be allowed two minute to clean their
tires, pick up shoes and make any other adjustments necessary
without disassembling their car.

8. Warming up cars before heats by any means including batteries
will not be permitted.

9. If a driver experiences a mechanical difficulty during a race, the
race will go on.

10. Track marshals will do their best to replace cars to the track in
the least amount of time.

11. Track marshals MUST keep hands off the race track or inside
walls, but must pay attention to de-sloted cars.

12. Track marshals are urged to attempt to replace the "first off"
car "first on".

13. Claimer rule, any competing driver may protest the winning
car at the end of the race in question. Providing He or She has
reasonable doubt as to the legality of the car in question, and
agree's to pay a protest fee that will be forfeited to the protested
driver if their car is indeed found to be legal. Protest fee should
be based on the cost of race entry  fee or $3.00 which ever is
the highest fee of the 2.  "I think that this will discourage
cheating and at the same time discourage bogus protests. "Any
illegal parts will be confiscated and a penalty levied against the
offending driver. Penalties to be decided by the staff of the raceway.

14. All drivers must show good sportsmanship and display a good
attitude during the races.  Good-natured trash talking is permitted
but purposely distracting other drivers, personal insults or using
profanity is prohibited.  Remember: It's just a hobby and they're
only little toy cars!
